Bombay Sapphire
This is an epic project from Y+R, designed with Rhea Thierstein. The amazingly crafted illustration that Yehrin Tong created over many weeks of painstaking work was turned into three-dimensional elements by Richard on our graphics team here. Drawing it up in a 3-D package meant that we could compensate for perspective accurately for the depth of the shape. The next stage involved laser cutting the shapes in Perspex, and applying 65,000 Swarovski crystals by hand – very patiently. The final hanging assembly was installed by our rigging team in a dilapidated chapel that Rhea found, and beautifully shot by Richard Foster.
