Hermès ‘The Rocabarn’ — 166 New Bond Street by Kate Jenkins

Andy Knight worked with artist Kate Jenkins to realise The Rocabarn, the first window installation for Hermès’ new flagship store at 166 New Bond Street, London. Kate’s playful concept imagines an equestrian beauty spa and grooming parlour, combining her distinctive crochet, knit and embroidered artworks with a bespoke scenic environment.

Working from Kate’s ideas, our team developed 3D digital renders to help translate the concept into the finished window spaces before fabricating the complete scenic backdrop. Custom wooden arches, tables and stable structures were built and hand painted with an aged timber effect, creating the setting for Kate’s intricate textile pieces and horse-inspired products.

The build also included 3D-printed horses and display mounts, alongside custom 3D-printed rocker bars, which were spray finished in clean, colour-blocked tones to contrast with the aged scenic elements.

The completed installation brings together bespoke set fabrication, scenic painting, 3D printing and textile art, creating a richly detailed environment for the opening windows of Hermès’ new London flagship.
